Truth Claiming
In the last few years I sense that society has become more divided. Our polarized culture is regressing in the way we communicate and connect with each other. Nuance and civilized discourse increasingly struggles to find a place in public and private life;, where words are weaponized and have become an 'untrusted' way of communicating 'truth'.
In ‘Truth Claiming’ I visualize this as a return to a medieval way of resolving our differences - a fight to 'claim the truth’.
The piece contains the word ‘Truth’ in braille that can be read - if you can find it - amongst all the other braille flying from the weapons and mouths of the protagonists.
